Annie’s Adventures: Shop Local this holiday season

20151128_103703This holiday season I’d like to encourage everyone to shop local and support local businesses as much as possible.

I understand you can’t find everything you want at local shops but by shopping local, not only are you helping our local economy but you’ll also find the best, one of a kind, unique, & fashionable gifts that everyone is sure to love.

Last year I gave all my family, Tank’s Premium Bloody Mary Mix. Everyone LOVED IT and it was perfect for all of them since you can use it to cook with and make beverages with. This year I’m giving gifts that I’ve gotten from my own treasure hunts around town.

It’s no secret that the corporate retail businesses are hurting this year. You see it all around you. They are slashing their prices 25%, 50%, or buy a certain amount get cash back. How can our local shops compete with that?

Let’s help support our community and local businesses this season. One simple way to do this, is to keep it local. Always shop local, and help support our community and economy.

Here’s a couple of lists of some local shops off the top of my head where you can find fantastic gifts. If you are looking for something specific, message my Facebook page and tell me what you’re looking for. I’ll help direct you on where to find it.

Great lists! But, your first store, Uptown Cheapskate is not local, it’s a chain. LuKa 7 is a great local boutique, too!

Hi there, you’re absolutely correct that Uptown Cheapskate is a chain. However, it IS owned by locals. They went to Coronado high school. I like to support all local owned businesses. They need the help too. You can find name brand clothes up to 80% off there. Perfect for holiday shopping. 🙂

Love finding neat shops. There is a lot in ElPaso you just have to go out and find it. I look forward to your findings.
