Dona Ana County seeing residents to serve on ADA Advisory Committee

Doña Ana County is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the county’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Advisory Committee.

The advisory committee meets on a regular basis at the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. in Las Cruces.

To ensure that residents who are significantly impacted by the issues covered by the ADA are represented, the committee will consist of at least two members with significant disabilities included within the protections of the ADA. The advisory committee studies a broad range of issues related to ADA requirements and implementation and assists the county in identifying and setting priorities for compliance projects.

Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015.  Applications are available at the Doña Ana County Government Center, Room 2-190.

Residents who wish to have an application mailed to them may call (575) 525-5881.  Residents calling from outside the Las Cruces area may call toll-free at 1-877-827-7200.

Applications can be mailed or delivered to the Doña Ana County Human Resources Department at 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, N.M., 88007, to the attention of EEO Specialist/ADA Coordinator Meg Haines. Application packets also can be faxed to (575) 525-5888.
