EPWU work closes section of Montoya Drive

Starting Wednesday, September 2nd and on through mid-September, Montoya Drive between Redd Road and Mulberry Avenue will be closed to through-traffic as El Paso Water Utilities makes improvements and completely replaces a sewer line and manhole to enhance service in the area.

This improvement project will not require any sewer or water service interruption. All residents in this construction area will still have access to their neighborhood streets via Montoya Drive. Construction will take place from 8:00am to 4:00pm, but the road closure will be maintained throughout the day until improvements are completed.

Commuters traveling this area are advised to use other major thoroughfares such as Doniphan Drive if traveling north/south, or Redd Road and Lindbergh Avenue if traveling east/west.

Traffic signs will safely guide commuters around this closure.
