Seven UTEP Men’s Basketball games to air on American Sports Network

The American Sports Network has completed its selection of men’s basketball games for television, and the UTEP Miners will be featured seven times.

ASN will carry the Miners’ home games versus UT Arlington (Dec. 5, 6 p.m. MT), NM State (Dec. 19, 7 p.m.), Rice (Jan. 1, 7 p.m.) and North Texas (Jan. 3, 3 p.m.).  Road games at Middle Tennessee (Jan. 7, 5 p.m.), UTSA (Jan. 16, 2 p.m.) and Florida Atlantic (Feb. 13, 4 p.m.) will also be televised.

In addition, Conference USA announced on Thursday that the start time for the Miners’ home game versus LA Tech on Feb. 20 has been changed to 4 p.m.  That game will air on CBS Sports Network.

ASN will televise 65 C-USA men’s basketball games this season, and 15 C-USA women’s basketball games.  ASN will have coverage of the first three rounds of the C-USA Men’s Basketball Championship and will also carry 10 games from the C-USA Women’s Basketball Championship.

ASN is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, which owns and operates, programs and provides sales services to 164 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 43 million U.S. television households.

It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates. ASN, which launched in August 2014, produced 250 college events in nine sports in its first year and plans to air more than 375 events in the 2015-16 academic year.
