Socorro ISD celebrates SHS’s 50th anniversary

Socorro High School is celebrating its 50th anniversary and homecoming week Aug. 24-29. Alumni and the community are welcome to join in the festivities. The homecoming parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and the Burning of the S and night pep rally will follow on the football field at Socorro High School.

The football game versus Horizon High School will be 7 pm. Aug. 28 at Socorro High School. A limited number of tickets are available for the game. When capacity of the football field is reached, no more tickets will be sold and no one else will be allowed into the game.

District officials remind both Horizon and Socorro fans to get their tickets early. Tickets go on sale Monday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the business office at Socorro High School.

Tickets are $2 for students and $4 for adults in advance; $3 for students and $5 for adults on the day of the game.
