Video: Your City in 5 – Week Ending April 14th

In this edition of Your City in 5, Host Rick Isaias bring you the opening of a new playground at Wellington Park and the new Pavo Real Spray Park.

In addition, the City is hosting a number of activities for the Easter Weekend. The El Paso Public Library is hosting Jazz concerts at several library branches. Plus, the Animal Services Shelter has rolled out the Fast and Furriest pet adoption campaign, and they are seeking foster parents for a few kittens.

Video: Your City in 5 – Week ending April 7th: New Splash Pad set to Open

In this edition, host Rick Isaias  has a look into the new Pavo Real Spray Park, the city’s newest spray park; the grand opening is set for April 15.

Other stories include the new field lights at Ponder Park, the opening of East Cave Park in Far East El Paso, as well as new nursing lounges at the International Airport for breastfeeding mothers, a health fair, vaccination clinics, renowned authors visiting the public libraries and a view of the finished mural on the Durango street bridge.

In this week’s edition, Rick Isaias  has a warning from EPPD on car burglaries, CPR training, free smoke alarms with installation by EPFD, Heart Health Month, the opening of the Rose Garden, and a new service from Animal Services!

Video: Your City in 5 – Week ending February 17th

In this edition, Rick Isaias has information on a work session by Mayor and Council and City Manager and staff that discussed the progress of the City since the introduction of the 2015 Strategic Plan.

There is also information on the Parks and Recreation Department’s Senior Games as well as two contests sponsored by the Environmental Services Department. The importance of having a working smoke alarm is also stressed by the El Paso Fire Department.

This edition also takes a look at the a Valentine’s Day coronation and dance recently held at a City senior center.

Video: Your City in 5 – Week Ending February 10th

In this week’s Your City in 5, Rick Isaias brings you information on the groundbreaking of a new Brio route; discounted bus rides for military veterans, information on the Multipurpose Cultural and Performing Arts Center; information on two upcoming community meetings; a look at conceptual renderings of the aquatics facilities.

There’s also a call to artists for art projects by the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department and some safety information regarding teen drivers from El Paso Police.

In this edition of Your City in 5, Rick Isaias has information on a new website created by the City of El Paso for military veterans; free income tax preparation provided by the Parks and Recreation Department; a new avatar created to help business owners find important City related information; a new calendar created by the Animal Services Shelter and the El Paso Fire Department that features adoptable pets and Super Bowl information for the community.

Video: Your City in 5 – January 20th

In this edition, Rick Isaias brings you an in-depth article about the City of El Paso that is featured in the January issue of Newsweek Magazine, as well as an online article about the City named among the most recession-recovered cities in the nation.

There’s a feature story about a 3-D printing, video editing, sound recording and robotics area that’s available at the El Paso Public Library. Plus, reminders about the upcoming property tax deadline and how to recycle correctly.

Video: Your City in 5 – December 15th

In this episode of ‘Your City in 5’ Rick Isaias talks about the grand opening on the new wildlife amphitheater at the El Paso Zoo. It also contains information on the future site of the children’s museum and the Sun City Lights project. In addition, there is a neat story about a downtown mural created by some talented kids in our community.

There is also information about a new app from the Animals Services Shelter that helps reunite lost pets with their owners. Your City in 5 ends with a special holiday greeting from the choir dogs at the animal shelter.
