Music Under the Stars Named ‘Best Event Series’

For the second year in a row, Music Under the Stars (MUTS) was named Best Event Series in What’s Up Magazine’s Best of the Best.

“Receiving this recognition from the El Paso community is a testament to the quality of this program. It isn’t often that an event series has the longevity that Music Under the Stars has. We are very proud to be celebrating the 34th season this summer,” said Assistant Director of Museums and Cultural Affairs Ben Fyffe.

Music Under the Stars continues its series of free concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at Cohen Stadium with DEPARTURE: The Journey Tribute Band. In their 10 years together, DEPARTURE is the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation.

The band replicates the look, sound and feel of the original 80’s rock super group.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and after the success of the first Mutts at MUTS promotion, the remaining shows at Cohen Stadium will be dog friendly.
