Ysleta ISD to hold Three Community Meetings Seeking Input on Special Projects

The Ysleta Independent School District will host community meetings  this week to seek input for three separate projects. All meetings will begin at 6 p.m.

On Monday, May 2, a select group of students, teachers, community members, and administrators will meet for the third “charrette” meeting to provide input in the design for the Eastwood High School renovations. The meeting takes place at Eastwood High School library, located at 2430 McRae Blvd. The meeting is free and open to the public. Members of the public may observe the charrette process only.

Tuesday, May 3. The first charrette meeting for the design of the Del Valle Middle/Mission Valley Elementary combination school takes place. A select group of students, teachers, community members, and administrators representing Camino Real and Valley View middle schools, as well as Mission Valley Elementary School will learn about the design process from VLK Architects.

The meeting takes place at Valley View Middle School library, located at 8660 North Loop Drive. The meeting is free and open to the public. Members of the public may observe the charrette process only.

On Wednesday, May 4, district officials will host a community information meeting on the sale of Robert F. Kennedy Pre-K Center in the school’s gymnasium, located at 9009 Alameda Ave. The meeting will provide an opportunity for families to ask questions regarding the sale of the property, as well as the options they have for pre-K in the district.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
