12th Annual Neighborhood Summit set for Saturday

The City of El Paso Community and Human Development Department would like to invite neighborhood associations and the entire El Paso community to attend the 12th Annual Neighborhood Summit at the YISD Central Office (9600 Sims) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016.

This free public event is hosted in partnership with the El Paso Neighborhood Coalition and provides residents the opportunity to build networks among neighborhood associations from across the city and gather inspiration to help improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.

The summit will include guest speakers, educational workshops and over thirty community and government information tables.

Guest speakers will be Destination El Paso and Insights El Paso Science Center.

Workshop topics are:

 Neighborhood Emergency Response Plan (El Paso Fire Department)

 Citizen Planners: How to Effectively Respond to Zoning Notices (Planning and Inspection Department)

 Smart Phone Parks App (Parks and Recreation Department)

 Take the Zero Out of Xeriscaping (El Paso Master Gardeners)

 Community Development Block Grant (Community and Human Development Department)

Complimentary lunch will be served.
