2018 “Recycle Right, El Paso” Contest for High Schoolers Underway

The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) is once again hosting the 2018 “Recycle Right, El Paso” public service announcement (PSA) video contest for local high school students.

Interested students are asked to create a 30-second PSA video with the theme “Recycle Right, El Paso.” The PSA must focus on recycling services provided by the ESD, such as curbside recycling, citizen collections stations, the ESD Country Warehouse, and the Recycling Division.

First, second, and third place winners will receive trophies and have their PSA televised on CITY-TV, the City’s government broadcast channel.

The winning videos will also be posted on all the City’s social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter). There is no fee to enter.

All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m., February 26, 2018. Winners will be announced in the spring of 2018.
