3 Home Runs lift Chihuahuas over Aces 8-6

Hector Sanchez hit two of El Paso’s three home runs Thursday in the Chihuahuas’ 8-6 win over the Reno Aces.

Sanchez has five home runs and a double in his first 11 at bats with El Paso. Manuel Margot went 2-for-4 with the Chihuahuas’ other home run Thursday.

Michael Kelly continued his successful stretch upon arriving to Triple-A. The righty got his third win in three starts Thursday and has allowed seven earned runs in 17 innings after his promotion from Double-A San Antonio.

Diego Goris went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the win. Keith Hessler picked up his first save of the year after pitching two scoreless innings against his former team.

The Chihuahuas have won seven of their last 10 games.
