The 36th annual Lower Valley Health Fair will be from 8 a.m. to noon April 21 at Americas High School. The event offers free health services including, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, hearing and vision screenings and pap smears.
Immunizations for children 0 to 16-years-old also will be available. Parents must bring their child’s immunization record. The cost for immunizations will be $10 for one or more vaccines.
A family fun walk will be at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. In addition, pharmacy students and pharmacists will be available to review and discuss current medications for participants at the health fair.
The Mammos On the Move (MOM) van will be at the fair with technicians conducting mammograms. Those interested need to schedule an appointment with Desert Imaging beforehand and need to bring an insurance card. Cost for non-insured patients is $189.

The health fair is made possible through a partnership among the SISD Health Services Department, the Lower Valley School Nurses Association, the City of El Paso Department of Public Health, Amerigroup, Whataburger, Foundation Surgical Hospital of El Paso and Eastside Family Care Center.
