The Las Vegas 51s scored three runs in each of their final two innings to come back and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 10-5 Monday night at Cashman Field. The 51s have won two games in a row against El Paso.
The Chihuahuas fell behind 4-0 after a nine-batter first inning for Las Vegas but came back to go ahead with three runs in the third and single tallies in the fourth and fifth.
Jose Pirela went 3-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs, hitting a home run for the second consecutive game. Pirela had a single, triple and home run in the first four innings Monday but did not hit a double to clinch the second cycle in Chihuahuas history.
Carlos Asuaje and Diego Goris had two hits each for El Paso. Bryan Rodriguez rebounded well after the four-run first, pitching five shutout innings after the original Las Vegas rally.
