O’Rourke set to show a ‘Day in Congress’ via Snapchat

WASHINGTON — Congressman Beto O’Rourke  announced that on Friday, December 4, 2015, he will give an exclusive, behind the scenes look at his day, take questions and tour the U.S. – Mexico Border, all via Snapchat (Snapchat Username: beto.orourke)

O’Rourke will be the first member of Congress to document his entire day – from dawn till dusk – via Snapchat.

O’Rourke said, “Government in the 21st century should engage people where they are. Today, more than 60% of 13 to 34 year-olds with a smartphone are using Snapchat. I want to encourage them to get involved with government, expect more transparency from their elected officials and get real-time updates about the work we are doing on their behalf.”
