El Paso Pro-Musica Chamber Music Festival adds venue, more attractions for 2nd week

The El Paso Pro-Musica Chamber Music Festival is entering it’s second week, with more amazing concerts and Community Engagement.
Artistic Director and World Renowned Cellist Zuill Bailey kicks it off with educational engagement at Hanks High School and Orchestra students from schools in YISD. He then will take his audience “Back to Bach,” in Las Cruces on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Rio Grande Theater.
This week, legendary Cellist Ralph Kirshbaum and pianist Shai Wosner perform first at the Free Bach’s Lunch, Thursday at Noon at the El Paso Museum of Art. They then provide Master Classes for students of the Department of Music at UTEP. A new collaboration with UTEP and EPPM works to provide the finest special training from the finest visiting musicians in the world to the students of the Department of Music.
The duo will perform the first half of the Beethoven Cycle on Friday, January 15 at 7:30 p.m. at El Adobe Recording Studios, 5301 El Paso Drive with an added bonus of Champagne and Deserts for the Concert at the same Concert Price- $25.00 for Adults, $20.00 for Senior/Military and $5.00 for all students.
The Beethoven Cycle continues on Saturday, January 16 in Concert at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, the only organist to receive a Grammy Award, Paul Jacobs will perform at the Church of St. Clement at 2:00 p.m. The incomparable performance will be unprecedented for El Paso Pro-Musica.
