City set to have public meeting in Northeast El Paso on Bike Plan & Program

The City of El Paso is hosting a series of community meetings to gather input from the public regarding the creation of the City of El Paso’s Bike Plan and Program.

This plan will determine how bike lanes and other bike amenities all fit together within El Paso’s transportation infrastructure, and will outline which El Paso streets are best for bicycling. The plan will also serve as a guide during the planning and construction of new bike lanes throughout the city, and provide recommendations on how to make existing streets safer for cycling.

Members of the public are invited to attend and participate in an interactive poll, which will allow City Staff to gather data which will be incorporated into the creation of the Bike Plan and Program.  Resident’s thoughts and opinions count, as their comments will ultimately help decide where bike lanes should be located throughout El Paso.
