UTEP set to show 1st movie in Centennial Plaza Friday night

As part of UTEP’s annual Friday Night Flick, the university will kick off this outdoor season with a first-ever screening at Centennial Plaza.

The movie for tonight is “The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2” and is set to begin around 6:30 p.m. or as determined by sunset. Admission is free to all, and concessions will be available for sale.  No glass containers, alcohol or pets are allowed at the show.

Attendees may bring blankets for the blanket area or lawn chairs, however pets are not allowed.

Previous year’s movies were shown on the lawn, in last year’s case that was Kidd Field; previous years the screen was set up at the old Geology Lawn. The free screening caps off ‘Miner Welcome’ week at the university.
