EPCC Theater Presents !st Play of Season: Spring Awakening

El Paso Community College (EPCC) Theater Ensemble will present its first play of 2016, Spring Awakening.

Spring Awakening is a rock musical set in the late 19th century. Set in Germany, the musical shows a sexual revolution as teenagers struggle to discover their sexuality. The musical score mixes folk music with alternative rock music and helps spin a tale of tumultuous relationships, questioning faiths and rebellion.

Music, lyrics and book are by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, theater production and direction by Keith Townsend.

Performances will be held February 25, 26, 27, March 3, 4, 5 at 8:00 p.m. Sunday matinees will be held on February 28 and March 6 at 2:30 p.m.
