Airport brings back October Night Lights to Celebrate Schools

El Paso International Airport will be hosting the return of October Night Lights to celebrate our local high schools and higher education institutions and the important role they play in the lives of our youth and families.

“We are excited to once again show our support for our local educational institutions, which play such an important role in the lives of our youth and families, and in shaping our future workforce,” said Sam Rodriguez, Director of Aviation. “This year, we expanded the reach of schools to honor all area high schools and our major secondary education institutions.”

Each night from October 1 through 23 the landscaping, walkways and lobby at the airport will be illuminated in the colors of area schools.

The lights will be lit from sunset to sunrise in school colors and will shine in El Paso colors at the top of each hour.

The event will kick of this Friday, October 1, with blue and orange lights at El Paso International Airport in honor of homecoming for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
