Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo set to Hire 200 Employees

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo is opening soon and seeking 200 people to join its team in El Paso as servers, kitchen staff, bartenders, box office concierges and projectionists.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for delivering world-class service, want to work in an exciting environment that rewards excellence, and enjoy creating immersive experiences through the under-appreciated art of having fun.

Interested applicants can find out more information and apply here. The theater is slated to open this summer.

Tim and Karrie League founded Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in 1997 as a single-screen mom and pop repertory theater in Austin. 18 years later, the now 23-location chain has been named “the best theater in America” by Entertainment Weekly and “the best theater in the world” by Wired.com.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has built a reputation as a movie lover’s oasis not only by combining food and drink service with the movie-going experience, but also introducing unique programming and high profile, star- studded special events.

Located in El Paso’s Montecillo (5001 N. Mesa Street) is designed to offer a mixture of residential living environments blended with entertainment, commercial and retail business opportunities to include TI:ME,a 12,000sq ft. “third place” venue that consists of nine specialty shops and three restaurants, all of which are locally owned and operated.

The Venue at Montecillo apartments began in May 2011 with blended environments featuring first floor retail and upper floor apartment homes. Since then, Montecillo has debuted additional urban living spaces with Santi Dwellings in 2014, followed by The View, in 2015.
