Alamo Drafthouse Debuts Ginsberg Documentary With Giveaway, Voter Registration

While many may know Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg as only the second woman to sit on the nation’s highest court, or because of her pop culture status via Internet memes and Kate McKinnon’s Saturday Night Live impersonations; not many people know her back story.

RBG, a new documentary, exploring the diminutive 84-year-old’s life and unique personal journey opens at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

RBG features commentary from a host of cultural and political luminaries, including Gloria Steinem, Nina Totenberg, Bill Clinton and, most importantly, the woman herself.

To celebrate “The Notorious RBG” and her legacy, a limited amount of commemorative jabots (those fancy doily collars that she pairs – quite fashionably – with her judicial robes) will be given away to moviegoers during opening weekend.

In addition, to honor Ginsberg’s legacy as a champion of women’s rights, the YWCA of El Paso del Norte will be conducting a voter registration drive from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018.
