Alamo Drafthouse’s Monthly Beer School to Feature Fritz Rahr of Rahr & Sons, Pug Patio Take Over

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s  Beer School returns this Thursday, featuring Fritz Rahr from Rahr & Sons Brewing Company from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

The group will be offering their Ugly Pug Black Lager and a “Pug Takeover” with the El Paso Pug Rescue in The Glass Half Full Taproom inside Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

During November’s Beer School on November 3, guests will enjoy a beer flight that will include Rahr Blonde Helles Lager, Texas Red Amber Lager, Bourbon Winter English-Style Dark Ale and Ugly Pug Black Lager. This month the Beer School is partnering with the El Paso Pug Rescue for a “Pug Patio Takeover.”

Pugs ready for adoption will visit the Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo patio. The El Paso Pug rescue will be on hand providing information on volunteering and rescue opportunities. The El Paso Pug Rescue will be hosting a fundraiser for the opportunities to win gift baskets and gift cards.

“Pugs and beer, it can’t get any better than that!,” said Aracely Calzadias, Private & Community Events Associate, Alamo Drafthouse-El Paso. “We are excited to host this fun event while partnering with the El Paso Pug Rescue and we’re hoping some lucky pugs will find a forever home during the Beer School night.”

Each month, Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo will host Beer School, an event centered on beer education and sampling. During Beer School, guests will enjoy a four beer flight and a Q&A session with the featured brewery.

Beer School makes craft beer approachable to individuals new to beer, but also appeal to serious connoisseurs who would love the opportunity to mingle with well-known and respected brewmasters.

November Beer School:

Date: Thursday, November 3, 2016, 6:30pm
