Animal Services to Address Unwanted Litters with Low-cost “Spay, Neuter, Love” Event

The Department of Animal Services is looking to prevent several unwanted litters in the community by offering low-cost spay/neuter services at its Mission Valley facility located at 9060 Socorro Road. These services will be available on certain days this month as part of Animal Services’“Spay, Neuter, Love” promotion.

The promotion will offer low-cost spay/neuter services to the first 50 animals that register. To sign up, pet owners can call 212-0299. Registration is required; no walk-up appointments will be taken the day of the event. The fee for cats is $25, and the fees for Chihuahuas and Pit Bulls are $50.

Appointments are also being taken for dates following the “Spay, Neuter, Love” event. These future dates are open to cats and dogs of all breeds. Fees vary by weight and species.
