Animal Services Offering 200+ Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Procedures in September
The Department of Animal Services is looking to prevent several unwanted litters in the community by offering low-cost spay/neuter services at its Mission Valley facility located at 9060 Socorro Road.
These services will be available on certain days during September as part of Animal Services’ efforts to reduce the number of unwanted pets that often end up at the Animal Services Shelter.
To sign up, pet owners can call 212-0299. Registration is required; no walk-up appointments will be taken the day of the event. The department will offer low-cost spay/neuter services to the first 30 animals that register for each scheduled day. The fee for cats is $25, and the fees for dogs are $50.
Appointments are also being taken for dates beyond the scheduled September dates. These future dates are open to cats and dogs of all breeds. Fees may vary by weight and species.
