Animal Services Pets to Take First-Ever “Rescue Flight”

Early Friday morning, more than 70 shelter pets from El Paso Animal Services will take to the skies as part of the department’s first-ever, large-scale transport flight.

These animals will be flown to new cities that are in need of lovable shelter pets. This transport flight comes at a crucial time as the shelter begins its peak intake season.

This life-saving event is made possible through a collaboration of partners to include: Wings of Rescue,, Freekibble, Humane Society of Tulsa, Humane Society of the United States, and Sierra West Airlines.

If members of the community would like to donate to Wings of Rescue to help fund this El Paso flight and others, they can do so online.
