Animal Services is sponsoring a low-cost microchip, rabies vaccine, and licensing clinic scheduled for this Sunday, January 24, 2016. The event will be held from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Animal Services’ Socorro Road facility located at 9060 Socorro Road.
The services will be available on a first come, first served basis; the first 150 animals will be served. Exact cash or check only. Please bring dogs on a leash and have cats contained.
Arrive early to avoid extended wait times. It is anticipated that some residents will begin to form a line three hours prior to the 6 a.m. start time.
The goal of the clinic is to increase licensing by having all municipal pet ownership requirements available at one time. In order to obtain a license, an owner must have the animal microchipped and must also show a current rabies vaccine. For this event only, Animal Services will offer all three services (microchip, rabies vaccine and license) for only $24.
City code requires that all pets be licensed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
These services support the City of El Paso’s strategic goal to nurture and promote a healthy, sustainable community. For more information, contact the Animal Services Shelter at (915) 842-1000.
