As Triple-Digit temperatures continue, city to keep cooling centers open through Aug. 15

Friday afternoon, officials with the City of El Paso said with the region expecting temperatures in the triple digits this week, they will keep six (6) cooling centers open through August 15.

The cooling centers are a collaboration between the El Paso Office of Emergency Management, Parks and Recreation Department and the Extreme Weather Task Force.

COVID-19 health and safety guidelines will be observed at all times. Due to the ongoing pandemic, no activities are currently scheduled at the cooling centers.

San Juan Senior Center – 5701 Tamburo Ct.

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

o   August 8 to 15

 

Don Haskins Rec Center – 7400 High Ridge

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

o   August 8 to 15

 

Marty Robbins Rec Center – 11600 Vista Del Sol Dr.

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

o   August 8 to 15

 

Memorial Senior Center – 1800 Byron St.

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

o   August 8 to 15

 

Nations Tobin Rec Center – 8831 Railroad Dr.

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

o   August 8 to 15

 

Pavo Real Senior Center – 9301 Alameda

o   9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
