Ascarate Park to be El Paso County’s new Covid-19 Mega Testing Site
Officials with the County of El Paso, in coordination with the City-County Office of Emergency Management, announced the addition of an additional Covid-19 testing site at Ascarate Park.
“In order to accommodate the high demand, increase efficiencies and improve wait times…the Ascarate Park testing site will open to the public beginning tomorrow,” officials shared via a news release.
The testing site can be accessed through the Fonseca Drive entrance at the south end of the park (please see map below). While no appointments are needed, the public is encouraged to arrive early as tests are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Testing is free and available to members of the community with or without COVID-19 symptoms.
Below is also an updated schedule of all drive-thru testing sites located throughout El Paso County, as well as a map to help residents locate the entrance of the Ascarate Park Testing Site.
“These testing sites would not be possible without the City-County Office of Emergency Management and the Texas Division of Emergency Management,” Officials added.
The new schedule is also available via the County’s Stay Home, Work Safe website.
