Bishop Seitz to bless City of El Paso on Scenic Drive in prayer for COVID-19 surge

Thursday morning, officials with the Diocese of El Paso announced that the Most Reverend Mark J. Seitz, Bishop of the Diocese of El Paso will pray over the City of El Paso and offer a solemn blessing at the Scenic Drive overlook on Friday.

The prayer service and blessing comes after a large surge of COVID-19 cases in El Paso County.

“The rise in Coronavirus cases in El Paso has caused me so much concern,” Bishop Seitz said. “I hope that the people of the City of El Paso can find some comfort in this prayer and blessing over the city on Friday,” he ended.

The prayer service held at the Scenic Drive overlook will be at 11:00 am on Friday October 30, 2020.

A short prayer service will be held followed by a blessing by the Bishop over the City and County of El Paso and the entire region.
