Hospitals of Providence East Campus Hosts Pink Walk to Honor Breast Cancer Survivors

In honor of October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Hospitals of Providence hosted its 8th Annual Pink Walk on Friday, October 7 at the East Campus (3280 Joe Battle Blvd.)

“This walk is a great opportunity to bring much needed attention to the importance of Early Detection as the Best Prevention to breast cancer,” said Brandon May, Interim CEO of East Campus. “We invite everyone to come out and support the brave individuals battling this disease.”

Officials added, “While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages.”

Information on breast examinations, mammograms and how Early Detection is the Best Prevention was also provided.
