Canutillo, Socorro ISDs Team Up for Shoe Drive, Charity Basketball Game

Superintendents Dr. Pedro Galaviz (CISD) and Dr. Jose Espinoza (SISD) will go head to head on the hardwood Thursday evening.  The school districts from both sides of the Borderland are uniting to donate shoes and play a basketball game for a great cause.

Canutillo ISD Administration will play a friendly – yet always competitive – basketball game against the Socorro ISD Administration.  As in the past,  the event is designed to collect shoes and necessities for needy students.

It will be the third annual game; in previous matches the districts have raised hundreds of pair of shoes, school supplies and other necessities to benefit all students.

All participants in the game will donate shoes and/or necessities to benefit CISD children. The public is invited and admission is free with a donation of shoes for children.

Socorro ISD and Canutillo ISD are united in helping students in El Paso County receive resources they need to excel in school.
