The El Paso Chihuahuas scored in six different innings in their 8-6 win over the Las Vegas 51s at Cashman Field Saturday. The Chihuahuas have won four of five games on their current road trip.
Carlos Asuaje went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the win, while Rafael Ortega and pitcher Tyrell Jenkins had two hits each. Newcomer Nick Schulz went 1-for-4 with two RBIs in his Triple-A debut.
The Chihuahuas had at least one baserunner in all nine innings Saturday.
Jason Jester and Phil Maton each left a runner on base in scoreless innings to close the game. It was Maton’s ninth save of the season, good for second most in the league.
