Bombs Away! Chihuahuas Crush Las Vegas in Shutout Win 14-0

The El Paso Chihuahuas scored in six different innings Monday and beat the Las Vegas 51s 14-0.

It was El Paso’s first shutout of the season and the biggest margin of victory in Chihuahuas history.

The Chihuahuas brought in 10 runs in four plus innings against Las Vegas knuckleball-throwing starter Mickey Jannis. All nine starting Chihuahuas had at least one hit by the time the top of the fifth ended.

Dusty Coleman, Diego Goris and Brett Nicholas all homered in the rout. Kyle Lloyd struck out 10 batters in seven shutout innings.

The Chihuahuas outscored Las Vegas 36-15 in the series.
