Chihuahuas Rally to Squash Bees 7-3; Extend Pacific Southern Lead

The El Paso Chihuahuas trailed 3-1 entering the seventh inning Friday before scoring six unanswered runs to beat the Salt Lake Bees 7-3.

Allen Craig hit a tiebreaking grand slam to bring in four of his five RBIs in the game. It was El Paso’s fourth grand slam of the season, tied for the most in the Pacific Coast League.

Forrestt Allday reached base five times atop the El Paso order Friday, going 3-for-3 with a walk and a hit by pitch. Allday has reached base three times or more in all three games of the series against his former team.

Lefty Jerry Keel allowed three runs in six innings to get the win in his Triple-A debut.

The Chihuahuas have won three games in a row and 14 of their last 17. Friday’s win sealed El Paso’s fourth straight series win.
