Chihuahuas Release Promotions for 2019 All-Star Season

The El Paso Chihuahuas announced their 2019 All-Star Season promotions, themes and giveaways schedule on Thursday.

This year’s lineup includes 13 Fireworks Spectaculars, 10 giveaways and a new look for Thrifty Thursday presented by Speaking Rock Entertainment Center.

The Chihuahuas kick-off the 2019 All-Star Season on April 4 versus the Las Vegas Aviators (Oakland Athletics affiliate). Rally towels are the premiere giveaway on Opening Night and Mini Bats presented by Southwest University, featuring a full-color picture of Southwest University Park, will be handed out to guests on Monday, April 8.

Fans can enjoy three midweek 11:05 a.m. day games on April 17, April 22 and May 22.

Chihuahuas are bringing back popular giveaways from 2018 with new looks: Road Jersey Fleece Blanket (May 6), Dri-fit Shirt (June 27) and Soft Hoodie presented by Sarah Farms (August 26).

The 2019 giveaway docket also includes new premium giveaway items: Howling Dog Poncho (April 17) and Chihuahuas Beach Tote (May 21).

Thrifty Thursday offerings, presented by Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, will now consist of $2 hot dogs, $2 12oz beer, $2 12oz margaritas and $2 20oz sodas for 2.5 hours after gates open (excluding April 4).

The Chihuahuas will also have a new look for Wednesday’s Diablos Days (excluding July 3), as they bring back the Diablos’ “Chile D” Pepper logo worn by the El Paso Double-A team from 1999-2004.

Fan favorite promotion, GECU Bark at the Park, will be moved to three Friday Nights in 2019 on May 31, July 26 and August 23 and will include dog giveaways for the first dogs in attendance (Bow Tie, Travel Bowl and Dog Hat, respectively).

Guests are invited to enjoy baseball on four major holidays in 2019: Easter Sunday (April 21), Cinco de Mayo (May 5), Father’s Day (June 16) and GECU Independence Day Celebration (July 1-3). 2019’s GECU Independence Day Celebration will include three consecutive nights of the best fireworks show in town.

Military, first responders and veterans will continue to enjoy a 25% savings on Monday through Thursday games (excludes April 4 and July 3) via epchihuahuas.com, GovX.com or in person with valid ID at either of the Southwest University Park box office locations.

On Military Mondays presented by Prudential, all active military and veterans will get to enjoy one complimentary Jumbo Hot Dog Meal with valid military ID.

Guests with paid admission must be present to receive a giveaway and only one giveaway per person will be allowed based on availability. All promotions, themes, and dates are subject to change. More themes, giveaways & promotions will be announced throughout the 2019 season.

Individual game tickets go on sale online Saturday, February 23 at 12:01 a.m. Chihuahuas fans will have an in-person pre-purchase opportunity on Friday, February 22 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Durango Box Office at Southwest University Park.

As part of the pre-purchase opportunity, four “Golden Tickets” will be given away at random to those patrons who pre-purchase in person on Friday containing Team Shop gift cards worth $100, $75, $50 & $25 available for use through April 8, 2019.

Beginning February 27, the Durango & Santa Fe Box Offices will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Both box offices will be closed on the weekend unless it is a game day.

Tickets are available starting at $5. Purchasers who buy in advance will enjoy savings ranging from $2.00 – $3.00 per ticket on reserved seating versus purchasing on the day of the game.

Bundle packages for the 32nd edition of the 2019 Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game and Home Run Derby to be played at Southwest University Park, July 8-10, in a nationally televised game, are currently on sale! Group leaders are able to purchase a group to the All-Star Game and/or the Home Run Derby now. Individual tickets to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby will go on sale at a later date.
