The El Paso Chihuahuas ended their five-game losing streak by beating the Tacoma Rainiers 7-3 Sunday night at Southwest University Park.
El Paso’s Matt Batten went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, his sixth homer of the year.
Dogs’ first baseman Taylor Kohlwey went 0-for-3 with a walk, ending his career-high 12-game hitting streak. It also ended Kohlwey’s stretch of reaching base multiple times in 12 straight games.
Jose Azocar went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the win.
Former Rainiers John Andreoli, Joe Beimel, Patrick Kivlehan and Parker Markel have all appeared in the series for El Paso.
