Chilly Weather Doesn’t Dampen ‘Dogs; Chihuahuas Top Reno 5-3

The El Paso Chihuahuas started their seven-game Nevada road trip with a 5-3 win Tuesday over the Reno Aces.

Chihuahuas starter Brett Kennedy allowed only one hit in six shutout innings Tuesday, pushing his ERA through three starts to 1.04. El Paso pitching surrendered only four hits, a season low.

Kennedy also had an RBI groundout, his second RBI in as many games against National League affiliates.

It was 42 degrees in Reno during the ninth inning Tuesday.

El Paso is now 5-1 in road games this season.
