The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Reno Aces 7-2 Thursday night at Greater Nevada Field to take a two games to none lead in the best-of-five series.
One night after Chris Huffman had an excellent start for El Paso, Bryan Rodriguez allowed only two runs in a seven-inning start for the Chihuahuas.
The Chihuahuas struck first Thursday, bringing in three runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Jose Rondon and a two-run home run by Dusty Coleman. Rondon and Coleman had two hits each for the Chihuahuas.
