City Announces Lifeguard Training and Job Fair

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department is offering lifeguard training courses during the next three months which will help begin certifying lifeguards in advance of the summer months.

In addition to lifeguard training, a job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, at the Pat O’Rourke Aquatic Center, 901 N. Virginia. The job fair is open to those interested in becoming lifeguards and will help potential lifeguards fill out an application for a job opportunity in the aquatics division of the Parks and Recreation Department.

Job Fair: Saturday, February 27 and March 12 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Opportunity to get assistance on lifeguard pre-test skills. Bring swim suit.

O’Rourke Aquatic Center, 901 N. Virginia St.

Lifeguard Class: March 7 to March 10 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$205 per person Armijo Aquatic Center, 911 S. Ochoa St.

Lifeguard Class Saturdays: March 19, March 26, April 2, April 9 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$205 per person O’Rourke Aquatic Center, 901 N. Virginia St.

Lifeguard Class Sundays: April 3, April 10, April 17, April 24 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$205 per person O’Rourke Aquatic Center, 901 N. Virginia St.
