City asks for public input on BMX/Skate Park at Eastside Regional Park

The City of El Paso’s Capital Improvement Department invites the public to an open house community meeting for the design of a BMX/Skate Park at the new regional park being constructed in far East El Paso.

The first phase of Eastside Regional Park, which is already in construction, will include the region’s only public indoor 50-meter competition-ready pool with a diving well, a community center, gymnasium, trails, a plaza, public art, and an outdoor neighborhood water park among other amenities.

The park is located near the intersection of Montana Avenue and Hueco Club Road; when complete, this regional park will be approximately twice as big as Eastwood (Album) Park.

The design work is part of the second phase of this 92-acre park project, which is being developed in stages.

Construction activities related to the BMX/Skate Park will follow as funding becomes available.

City officials add that development of this park is part of the City’s “commitment to enhance El Paso’s quality of life through exceptional recreational, cultural and educational opportunities.”
