City Asks for Resident’s Help to Win 2018 All-America City Award

The City of El Paso is a finalist for the 2018 All-America City Award and needs help in celebrating the City of Champions.

Officials with the city of El Paso said, “the All-America City Award (AAC) is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious civic recognition award, and El Paso plans to win; El Pasoans deserve no less.”

As a City of Champions, the team is taking local champions to tell their stories at the AAC Showcase in Denver. To that end, the team is requesting community support to make that happen.

There are two ways for El Pasoans to contribute:

  • Purchase your May 17 Chihuahua baseball game tickets online and click on the EPBDAY promotion. A portion of the cost of each ticket will go toward this effort. There will be a City birthday celebration at the game with fireworks.
  • Donate at the City of Champions GoFundMe page.

Officials with the city say all money raised will be used specifically for community members to attend and participate in the All-America City presentation in Denver.
