City: Cooling Centers to stay open through September 5th

The City of El Paso is expecting high temperatures to continue and as a result will keep six (6) cooling centers open through September 5.

 The cooling centers are a collaboration between the El Paso Office of Emergency Management, Parks and Recreation Department and the Extreme Weather Task Force.

COVID-19 health and safety guidelines will be observed at all times. Due to the ongoing pandemic, no activities are currently scheduled at the cooling centers.

Below are the cooling center locations and operational times:

  • San Juan Senior Center – 5701 Tamburo Ct.

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Don Haskins Rec Center – 7400 High Ridge

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Marty Robbins Rec Center – 11600 Vista Del Sol Dr.

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Memorial Senior Center – 1800 Byron St.

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Nations Tobin Rec Center – 8831 Railroad Dr.

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Pavo Real Senior Center – 9301 Alameda

9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
