The City of El Paso is hosting its annual “Thanksgiving Celebration” for the homeless and needy. The chairman of the celebration is District 4 City Representative Carl L. Robinson.
The community meal will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016 at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center.
In addition, Sun Metro will have a “Customer Appreciation Day” and all bus rides will be free that day to help ensure those in need have a way to get to the convention center for the Thanksgiving Celebration.
The City of El Paso wants to thank the El Paso business community and non-profit organizations for their continued support and commitment to help make the event a success.
The Salvation Army and the Rescue Mission of El Paso assist with cooking and providing meals to all who attend. This year organizers are preparing meals for more than 5,000 people.
