City to Install Angled Parking on Tularosa, Pershing starting Monday

The City of El Paso Streets and Maintenance Department will install angled parking on two streets in Central El Paso.

Work to install angled parking on Tularosa between Piedras and Estrella will begin on Monday, January 30, 2017.

Installation of angled parking on Pershing between Cebada and Piedras will commence upon crews completing the work on Tularosa.

The project will increase the number of on-street parking spaces on both streets. The number of on-street parking spaces on Tularosa will increase to 35 from 9, and Pershing will get 26 spaces compared to its current 14 spaces.

The work may include new pavement markings readjusting travel lanes, consolidating loading zones, and relocating and removing traffic signs to accommodate the new parking spaces and loading zones.

The entire project is expected to take about 30 days to complete. The schedule may be modified due to weather or other unforeseen events.
