City to host Virtual Community Meetings on Pet Grooming Ordinance Changes

Tuesday morning, officials with El Paso Animal Services invited pet groomers, shop owners, and community members to one of two virtual meetings that will discuss upcoming changes to the Animals Ordinance related to pet grooming.

Earlier this year, the City of El Paso adopted Ordinance No. 019087 that amended the current ordinance to include new guidelines for groomers and grooming shops that will take effect on January 1, 2021.

The meeting will also answer frequently asked questions related to the application process for licenses and permits.

The virtual meetings will take place via Microsoft Teams on:

  • Thursday, November 5 at 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 12 at 3 p.m.

For those who would like to participate, email monterosmm@elpasotexas.gov with the preferred meeting date, along with name, the name of the shop you are with, a phone number you can be contacted at and the email address you want your invitation sent to.

For those unfamiliar with Microsoft Teams, the app that available for download via smart phone or computer.  This will allowpeople to join the virtual video meeting after receiving the link to the meeting of your choice. The link will be sent by email.
