City’s Parks and Rec Department Continues Lifeguard Training Classes

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department continues to offer lifeguard training classes during March and April.

The classes will be held at the Pat O’Rourke Aquatic Center located at 901 N. Virginia St. The cost of the training is $205 per person and participants must be at least 15 years old to take the class.

Participants must meet a number of requirements in order to pass the course. A list of requirements can be found on the Parks and Recreation website www.elpasotexas.gov/parks.

The following is a schedule of upcoming lifeguard training classes:

Lifeguard Classes (Saturdays Only)

March 19, March 26, April 2, April 9

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

O’Rourke Aquatic Facility, 901 N. Virginia St.

Lifeguard Classes (Sundays Only)

April 3, April 10, April 17, April 24

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

O’Rourke Aquatic Facility, 901 N. Virginia St.
