El Paso is once again being recognized by national media, this time CNBC.com is naming the Sun City as one of the top 20 metro areas to start a business in America.
The business news website lists El Paso’s cost of doing business, affordable housing market, and shopper base as reasons why El Paso was included in the list, ranking in at the 16th spot.
“Since taking office, our Administration has worked aggressively to ensure that people know El Paso is Open for Business,” said Mayor Oscar Leeser. “City Council has taken steps to create a business friendly community and this recognition is evidence that our efforts are paying off.”
Since 2013, more than $630 million has been invested in the El Paso region. During this period, businesses have expanded and opened in El Paso which include Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Charles Schwab, Whole Foods Market, Dave and Busters, ADP, West Elm, H&M, Chuy’s Tex-Mex, Fred Loya Insurance, Hotel Indigo, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House to name a few.
