Community Meeting for Dyer BRIO Project Scheduled for Wednesday Evening

In conjunction with the offices of City Representative Cortney Niland of District 8, the City of El Paso’s Capital Improvement Department has scheduled a community meeting at which members of the public will have the opportunity to view the design plans for the Dyer Street Pedestrian Improvements project.

The improvements will enhance the connectivity along Dyer Street with the following improvements:

  • Dyer & Hercules (median refuge for pedestrians)
  • Dyer between Fred Wilson and McConnell Ave (sidewalk and landscaping)
  • Pershing between Alta and Trowbridge (sidewalk)
  • Kansas and Campbell between Overland and Wyoming (sidewalk, trees and textured
  • crosswalks)

This project with an approximate budget of $1.5 million will also enhance the efficiency of the Dyer BRIO Rapid Transit System, which is expected to open to the public in 2018.
