Connect10, Go10, TxDoT closures and detours for week of June 1st

Go10 officials say that June 30th is the target date for being finished with all roadway work. After June, expect work to continue off the roadways for another two months or so.

Off-the-roadway work will be for miscellaneous items, such as, finishing a rock wall in the Sunland Park area, flood control work, clean up, and other punch list items.  GO 10 is a $158 million, four-year project that started in 2015 and is finishing on-time and on-budget.

A few miles east, work continues on the I-10 Connect Project.  When the I-10 Connect Project is complete, southbound traffic on US 54 will have access to a new direct connector ramp soaring over Interstate 10 leading directly to the Bridge of the Americas and Juárez.

But constructing that ramp requires work above one on-ramp and in the median of I-10 near the Spaghetti Bowl. To safely accommodate that work, requiring the following closures will be in place in the coming weeks.

Changes START JUNE 3 – MONDAY– for  some downtown streets as the Border West Expressway projects nears completion.

Traffic will then use the newly-widened turnaround at Pershing Drive to access Gateway Boulevard South then enter southbound US 54 and continue straight ahead to re-enter westbound I-10.
