Connect10, TxDoT work, closures and detours for Week of June 21st

It’s another busy week for TxDoT and Connect10 crews throughout the El Paso area.  Highlighted below are the overall project dates and expected detours and closures.

Loop 375 Frontage Road Project

Monday, June 22 (complete closure)
Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • Loop 375 southbound complete closure at Pan American entrance ramp
  • Loop 375 southbound traveling public will re-enter after Zaragoza Road

Crews will be placing concrete

Tuesday, June 23 (complete closure)
Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • Loop 375 southbound complete closure at Pan American entrance ramp
  • Loop 375 southbound traveling public will re-enter after Zaragoza Road

Crews will be placing concrete

Wednesday, June 24 through Thursday, June 25 (complete closure)
Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • Loop 375 southbound complete lane closure between North Loop Drive to Pan American Drive
  • Loop 375 southbound traveling public detour between North Loop Drive exit to Zaragoza Road

Crews will be installing ITS structures and removing overhead signs

Thursday, June 25 (complete closure)
Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • Loop 375 southbound complete closure at North Loop Drive entrance ramp
  • Loop 375 southbound traveling public detour between North Loop Drive exit to Zaragoza Road

Crews will be installing bridge beam forms

Friday, June 26 (complete closure)
Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • South Americas Avenue (frontage road only) southbound complete closure at North Loop Drive entrance ramp
  • South Americas Avenue southbound traveling public detour from North Loop Drive exit to Zaragoza Road

Crews will be installing bridge beam rebar

Monday, June 22 through Tuesday, June 30 (complete closure)
Daily, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • South Americas Avenue (frontage road only) northbound to southbound turnaround complete closure at Socorro Road
  • South Americas Avenue southbound traveling public detour at Socorro Road exit

Crews will be installing temporary shoring

 

Mesa Park Interchange Project

Saturday, June 20, 4 a.m. to Sunday, June 21, 6 a.m.

  • I-10 eastbound/westbound from Sunland Park to Executive complete closure.
  • Crews will be installing beams.

Monday, June 22 through Saturday, June 27
Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • I-10 eastbound from Sunland Park to Executive complete closure.
  • Crews will be installing deck panels.

Saturday, July 12, 4 a.m. to Sunday, July 13, 6 a.m.

  • I-10 eastbound/westbound from Sunland Park to Executive complete closure.
  • Crews will be pouring the deck.

 

Pothole Repair Project

Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Mesa southbound between Remcon and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.
  • Crews will be repairing potholes.

Spall Repair Project

Sunday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25
Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Piedras and Downtown alternate lane closures.
  • Crews will be repairing concrete spall.

Mesa Safety Improvement Project

Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Mesa between Festival and Crown Point alternate lane closures.
  • Mesa between Cincinnati and Gregory alternate lane closures.
  • Mesa between Castellano and Montecillo alternate lane closures.
  • Follow all detours until further notice.
  • Crews will be working on traffic signal improvements.

Dyer Overlay Project

Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Dyer northbound/southbound between Sanders and South Angora Loop alternate lane closures.
  • Crews will be performing demolition and placing concrete curbs, sidewalks, and driveways.

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Sunday, June 21 through Thursday, June 25
Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Mesa northbound lanes between Baltimore and Mesita complete closure.
  • Crews will be placing concrete on clay pockets.

Continuous until further notice

  • Mesa northbound between Baltimore and Brentwood reduced to one lane.
  • Mesa southbound between Sunland Park and Festival reduced to one lane.
  • Crews will be removing and replacing pavement and mitigating clay deposits.

Guardrail Repair Project

Tuesday, June 23
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Downtown Mesa to Santa Fe right lane closed.
  • Crews will be repairing guardrail.

Wednesday, June 24
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Spur 601 eastbound between Chafee and Airport on-ramp and right lane closed.
  • Crews will be repairing guardrail.

Thursday, June 25
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Spur 601 westbound between Chaffee to US-54 on-ramp left lane closed.
  • Spur 601 westbound between Chaffee to Fred Wilson right lane closed.
  • Crews will be repairing guardrail.

Friday June 26
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • US-54 eastbound from Haan to Fred Wilson right lane closed.
  • US-54 eastbound from Haan to Spur 601 on-ramp closed.
  • Crews will be repairing guardrail.

I-10 Connect

Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • The on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 north of Pershing Drive will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Enter southbound US 54 south of Pershing Drive.

Crews will be working on a dynamic message sign.

Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Alternating lane closures will be in place on US 62/180 (Paisano Drive) at I-10.

Crews will be conducting underground utility
